Cuttack: Excitement is building up for the inaugural Odisha Pro T20 League, with the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) announcing the Marquee players.
Wicketkeeper-batter Aashirwad Swain, one of Odisha’s brightest young talents to have emerged in the last couple of seasons, is one of the six Marquee players. At 20 years and 175 days, Ashirwad is the youngest in the list of Marquee players chosen by OCA.
The other Marquee players are – 33-year-old Govinda Poddar, 31-year-old Suryakant Pradhan, 28-year-old Subhranshu Senapati, Sandeep Pattanaik (27) and Swastik Samal (25).
“We are proud to introduce our Marquee players, who have carried the flag of Odisha cricket with distinction. Their inclusion sets a strong foundation for the league and will inspire young talent to dream bigger. The Odisha Pro T20 League is a stepping stone to take Odisha cricket to greater heights, and these players will play a central role in that journey,” said OCA secretary Sanjay Behera.
The highly-anticipated T20 League, managed by Arivaa Sports, will be held in September.
The six-team franchise-based tournament will feature 22 matches, including the league stage and playoffs.
