New Delhi: The first show on Day 3 of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) began with some traditions in sight, One Infinite event, showcasing Romaa, Megha Bansal and Salita Nanda.
Diana Penty graced the Romaa event as she walked the finish line, while the Megha Bansal event had Shilpa Shetty carrying the show to its end. The Abhishek Sharma and Punit Balana show screamed Indian ceremony wear as well. After the cutout shapes and silhouettes of denim, leather, etc, the flow of a lehenga was a sight to witness. A tissue lehenga of metallic shine in the shade violet, shone on the stage as Sobhita walked as the showstopper.
The evening was star-studded as well. The Pankaj & Nidhi show had dark colours and strong shapes, and it had an ending by Sharvari.
Monisha Jaisingh had an Indian disco vibe with funky colours on shiny velvet or sheer translucent fabric. The silhouettes continued to change from flowing pants to carefully draped sarees as skirts. The show was finished by Riddhima Kapoor.
The awaited designer of the evening, Samant Chauhan had an ethereal wedding collection, with reds, whites and a strong underline of tradition. The event was graced by Dia Mirza, a breathtaking sight.
The designer that we had been waiting for, Tarun Tahiliani, made a grand entrance with his new sub-brand, OTT, as Aditi Rao Hydari arrived in a magnificent blue, descending from the NEXA installation car, and embodying the effortless grace the collection aims to deliver.
