New Delhi: Shooter Manu Bhaker hit the target on Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in partnership with FDCI, when she walked the ramp in a Marks & Spencer’s Prêt-à-porter autumn collection body-hugging ensemble which had a black sleeveless midi dress layered with a ribbed, full-sleeve neon-hued jumper.
Actress Bhumi Pednekar dazzled as a showstopper for Richa Khemka. She wore a black shimmery, halter-neck blouse with a plunging neckline and draped a skirt below.
Shriya Saran surprised turned showstopper and danced her way into everyone’s hearts in an exquisite ivory and gold Anarkali for designer Payal Singhal. She looked stunning in a regal ivory organza Anarkali kurta and churidar set, embellished with gold sequins.
The NEXA spotlight show, presenting ‘TIL’, was nothing less than a piece of art. The curation and the choreography seemed to transport the audience into an altered dimension. The one with bold colours masks, dynamic background music and carefully styled pieces of fabric stole the show.
With a few more shows here and there, the up-and-coming design house HUEMN x R|Elan, a sustainable textile brand by Reliance Industries managed to create a spectacular show with strong articulation, bold statements and technologically advanced clothing.
The day ended with an amalgamation of denim in all shapes, textures, sizes, colours and even cuts and washes. A five-way show with 11/11, ASHISH N SONI, Countrymade, Dhruv Kapoor and KGL, the FDCI denim edit was a treat for the eyes and a great finish for the day.
