Bhubaneswar: As part of the investigation into the death of social activist Aditya Das, the Crime Branch of police is most likely to conduct polygraph tests on his widow and three colleagues.
A senior Crime Branch official, who is also a member of the investigating team, told the media on Thursday that there will be another round of interrogation of Aditya’s widow Bidyashree and his three colleagues, Papu, Bikash and Pritam, at the police headquarters and if necessary, they will undergo polygraph tests.
Aditya was found dead on the railway tracks near Lingaraj Temple Road railway station here on July 7. Speculation about whether he committed suicide or was murdered has been doing the rounds with his widow and close friends engaged in mudslinging.
The post-mortem report had revealed that he died due to grievous injuries on his head.
Though the Government Railway Police (GRP) had taken up the case and interrogated the family members and friends, the Crime Branch took over the investigation on July 30 following an order from Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay.
