Mumbai: ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was recently in headlines after replacing Deepika Padukone with Triptii Dimri in his upcoming film ‘Spirit.’
The director has created a fresh buzz with reports suggesting that he has replaced ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun with Jr NTR in one of his upcoming films.
News portal Siasat.com reported that Allu had signed a film with Vanga last year. However, insiders have revealed that Allu has been dropped from the project and the film has been put on hold.
The report further claimed that Vanga has replaced Allu with Jr NTR in his project.
Weeks ago, Vanga dropped Deepika from the Prabhas-starrer ‘Spirit’ because the actress apparently demanded an eight-hour work shift and high remuneration.
Vanga also accused Deepika of playing dirty PR games and leaking parts of his script.
“When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it,” Vanga wrote and then added, “Aisa karo…. Agli baar poori kahani bolna… kyunki mujhe jarra bhi farak nahi padtha. #dirtyPRgames. I like this kahawath very much 🙂 खुंदक में बिल्ली खंबा नोचे !” he wrote on X.
Allu Arjun and Deepika are collaborating for Atlee’s upcoming film, which is tentatively titled as ‘AA22xA6.’
The film will be going on floors by mid-2025, and is expected to be released next year.
