Mumbai: Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed ‘Spirit’ made headlines following Deepika Padukone’s exit over her apparent demand for an 8-hour work shift.
Vanga replaced her with ‘Animal’ actress Triptii Dimri.
Now, reports suggest that Deepika’s ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor will feature in a cameo in ‘Spirit’.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Ranbir will be appearing at a crucial point in the film starring Prabhas.
The report describes Ranbir’s cameo as a “historic” moment because the actor will be sharing screen space with South star Prabhas for the first time.
“Ranbir will come into the picture at a crucial juncture of the storytelling. It will be a turning point in the plot and a historic moment in Indian cinema since he has never shared screen space with Prabhas,” a source was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.
The grand ‘muhurat’ ceremony of Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ was held in Hyderabad on Sunday. Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the star-studded event as chief guest.
Sharing photos of the event on social media, Vanga thanked Chiranjeevi for gracing the event.
“Heartfelt thank you to our MEGASTAR CHIRANJEEVI sir for blessing the event with his presence. Sir….. your gesture is unforgettable — we all love you,” he wrote.
While Prabhas did not attend the muhurat, Vanga shared a photo of the actor holding the clapboard and wrote, “Dear fans… I thought PRABHAS anna’s hands were enough to EXCITE YOU ALL…… So on this muhurath day, I’m posting this for you — with gratitude and love. SPIRIT.”
