SRK celebrates KKR win

Ahmedabad: Shah Rukh Khan was at the packed Narendra Modi Stadium here on Tuesday evening to watch Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thrash Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 1 to storm into the final of IPL 2024.

The co-owner of the winning franchise was ecstatic, as he did a lap of honour with daughter Suhana and son AbRam to thank the crowd.

It was an extremely hot evening, with the temperatures hovering around 45 degrees Celsius. The heat took its toll on the Bollywood Badshah.

Shah Rukh returned to ITC Narmada, the team hotel, with the players and support staff late at night and received a grand welcome.

However, Shah Rukh felt unwell due to dehydration and was taken to KD Hospital on Wednesday morning, reported India Today.

PTI confirmed his admission due to heatstroke, but the curtain of uncertainty remains as they did not share any further information regarding his health.

According to PTI, Shah Rukh was admitted to the hospital because of a heatstroke.

He was discharged later in the day after being attended to. His health is stable, but doctors have advised him to take adequate rest.

There has been no official update on Shah Rukh, either from the hospital or KKR.

KKR will travel to Chennai, where they will face the winners of Qualifier 2 – SRH vs Rajasthan Royals/Royal Challengers Bengaluru – on May 26.
