After One-Month Lull, Maruti Suzuki Receives 5000 Online Bookings Amid COVID-19 Lockdown

New Delhi: After reporting zero sales during April due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Maruti Suzuki has received over 5000 bookings online. Speaking at the company’s Financial Results, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki, RC Bhargava, said, “We have received over 5000 bookings online; 2300 cars  have been despatched and 1900 workshops have resumed operations.”

The 2300 cars have been despatched from its Manesar facility, which resumed operations this month.

So far, Maruti Suzuki, which has more than 2,500 sales touchpoints across India, has resumed retail activities in only one-third of its dealerships. About 60 per cent of them are in rural areas.
