Mumbai: After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in recent years, Alia Bhatt will walk the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala alongside some of the world’s biggest celebrities.
Also known as the Met Ball, it’s the benefit event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York.
This year, the Gala will be held on May 1.
Alia, who delivered a stellar performance in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and also featured in hit movies like ‘RRR’ and ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’, will be styled by Prabal Gurung, a Nepalese-American fashion designer based in New York.
Interestingly, Deepika had sported a red outfit by Prabal at the 2018 Met Gala Heavenly Bodies.
The timing of Alia’s New York appearance will be significant as her maiden Hollywood film ‘The Heart of Stone’ is due for release in August.
Back home, Alia’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is slated for a July 28 release. The Karan Johar-directed film has Alia’s ‘Gully Boy’ co-star Ranveer Singh.
The prestigious fashion event is known for celebs donning unique outfits.
Like Deepika, Priyanka too has made her presence felt with her striking outfits at the Met Gala.
Both Deepika and Priyanka have made three appearances at Met Gala – 2017, 2018 and 2019.
