New Delhi: Not many had heard of the film when it was released on March 11. But as word spread on Vivek Agnihotri’s movie – about the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in early 1990s — The Kashmir Files went on to became one of the biggest spectacles of 2022, raking in over Rs 250 crore.
After the resounding success of The Kashmir Files, Agnihotri on Friday announced his next film, titled The Delhi Files.
“I thank all the people who owned #TheKashmirFiles. For last 4 yrs we worked very hard with utmost honesty & sincerity. I may have spammed your TL but it’s important to make people aware of the GENOCIDE & injustice done to Kashmiri Hindus. It’s time for me to work on a new film,” Agnihotri tweeted.
He revealed the name of his next venture in a subsequent film, writing, “#TheDelhiFiles.”

The Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher also shared the news along with the poster of the news film.
“Good luck dear @vivekagnihotri for#TheDelhiFiles!! I am sure as a filmmaker you will do great justice to another chapter of our past dealt wrongly. Looking forward to be part of it. #RightToLife,” Kher tweeted.
Vivek Agnihotri’s I am Buddha Production and Abhishek Agarwal Arts recently announced that they will reunite to tell two more great and brutally honest tales of humanity on the big screen.

A statement from the producers said that following the huge success of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi are on a mission to complete a compelling and gripping trilogy.
The upcoming projects will be presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal, while Abhishek Agarwal, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi will produce them.
