Ahead Of Karnataka Polls, BJP MLA’s Son Caught Taking Rs 40 Lakh Bribe
Bengaluru: The son of a BJP MLA was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40 lakh at his private office here on Thursday, reported India Today.
Prashanth Madal, the son of sitting MLA from Channagiri (Davangere) Madal Virupakshappa, fell into the trap of Lokayukta — the anti-corruption watchdog of Karnataka government.
According to Lokayukta officials, a man registered a complaint against Prashanth on Thursday morning, accusing him of taking bribes.
Subsequently, Lokayukta officials set up a trap to catch Prashanth red-handed as he was taking the bribe.
This will be quite a setback for the MLA, who also happens to be chairman of Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Limited.
