Bhubaneswar: From classic mythological epics and high-octane action thrillers to soul-stirring patriotic war films, Bollywood’s 2026 lineup promises varied cinematic experiences for movie lovers.

Here’s a look at Bollywood’s 2026 lineup:

1. Border 2 – A sequel to the 1997 blockbuster patriotic war drama ‘Border’, this film features an ensemble of cast including, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles.

Helmed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, the film is slated to be released on January 23.

2. Ramayana (Part 1) – A classic Indian mythological epic starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita & Yash as Ravana. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is targeting a November release on the occasion of Diwali.

3. King – A highly-anticipated Shah Rukh Khan-starrer action thriller, it also features his daughter Suhana Khan along with prominent actors including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan among others. The big-budget film is expected to be released next year.

4. Love & War – Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the grand love epic brings Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal together for the first time on the silver screen. The film is set to be released on August 14.

5. Dhurandhar 2 – A sequel to the blockbuster spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the film is likely to see bigger action and more pan-India appeal.
The film is slated to hit theatres of March 19 during the festive Eid weekend, and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.

6. Alpha – YRF’s first female-led spy film, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles. Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha is a part of the massive YRF Spy Universe which includes ‘Tiger’, ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’. Initially scheduled to be released in December 2025, and then April 2026, the release date is pending. The makers are learnt to be zeroing on a new date to avoid clashes.

7. Mardaani 3 – The third instalment of the action-thriller franchise ‘Mardaani’, starring Rani Mukerji as the fierce cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. Produced by YRF, the film is set to be released on February 27.

8. Battle Of Galwan: Starring Salman Khan as an army officer, the film revolves around the 2020 Galwan valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 17.
