Mumbai: The third instalment of Ajay Devgn-starrer crime thriller ‘Drishyam’ will hit theatres on October 2, 2026.
On Monday, the makers released a promo announcing the release date of the film on their official YouTube channel.
‘Drishyam 3’ will see Ajay returning as Vijay Salgaonkar, along with the original star cast including Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.
However, there’s no confirmation whether Akshaye Khanna will be returning as a cop in the film.
The shooting of the film is currently in progress and a statement on the trailer release date is expected sometime in 2026.
Directed by Nishikant Kamat, ‘Drishyam’ is a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name.
The 2015 film revolved around Salgaonkar, a family man from Goa who saves his family following an accidental murder in their house.
The film was a massive success, collecting around Rs 197 crore worldwide.
‘Drishyam 2’, released in 2022. was also a hit.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, ‘Drishyam 3’ is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
