Mumbai: After delivering blockbuster hits such as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ (2007) and ‘Hera Pheri’ (2000), actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan are once again teaming up for ‘Hera Pheri 3.’
Confirming their reunion, Akshay, in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times said, “Priyan sir has given all of us a fabulous surprise by offering to direct ‘Hera Pheri 3’. What a fabulous start to 2025.”
The filmmaker, who turned 68 on January 30, surprised fans by offering ‘Hera Pheri 3’ to Akki a post on his Instagram stories.
When Akshay wished Priyadarshan on his birthday, the filmmaker reposted it on his stories and wrote, “Thank you so much for your wishes @akshaykumar. In return I would like to give you a gift. I’m willing to do Hera Pheri 3. Are you ready Akshay, @suniel.shetty & @pareshrawalofficial”

To this, Akshay replied enthusiastically, “Sir!!! Your birthday, but I got the best gift of my life. Chalo karte hain phir thodi hera pheri!”
