Mumbai: The much-awaited multi-starrer cult comedy ‘Housefull 5’, which hit theatres on Friday, has fallen prey to piracy just hours after its release.
According to a report in News18 Showsha, the Akshay Kuma- starrer has been leaked online on various piracy sites such as Filmyzilla, Movierulez, Tamilrockerz, and several Telegram channels.
The pirated versions of the film are circulating in various formats, including HD, 1080p, 720p, and lower resolutions across the illegal platforms.
Keywords such as ‘Housefull 5 Movie Download’, ‘Housefull 5 HD Free Download’, ‘Housefull 5 Tamilrockers’, and ‘Housefull 5 Telegram Links’ have started trending online, sparking concerns over the growing digital piracy.
Fans have been urging movie buffs not to reveal the spoilers on social media platforms.
“My sincere request to fans to not post live scenes direct from the cinema of #Housefull5 here – let us enjoy theatre viewing,” a fan wrote on X.
Another user shared, ““#Housefull5 please don’t post any spoilers. it’s a request.”
One user wrote, “#Housefull5 Day, caution Do not leak the killer . No need to spoilers to any scene Go watch and enjoy with your family.”
Ahead of the release of each of his films, Akshay urges fans to stand up against piracy.
In 2017, before the release of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, Akshay had written on social media, “The fight against piracy is critical and it’s reassuring to see the swift action taken by the Crime Branch on the unfortunate incident involving our film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. I would like to urge my friends, colleagues, fans and audiences to please say no to piracy. Thank you for all your support.”
