Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan’s patriotic blockbuster ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ will be released in Telugu on May 23.
Akshay shared the film’s Telugu-language trailer on his Instagram handle on Saturday to announce the news.
“They fired bullets, he fired back with the truth! Kesari Chapter 2 Telugu Trailer out now. Releasing in Telugu – in cinemas 23rd May,” the actor wrote alongside the trailer.
Reacting to the post, one user wrote, “Akshay Kumar with another patriotic masterpiece.”
“East or West, Akshay Kumar sir is the best,” gushed another.
One person called Kesari Chapter 2 the “best film of the year so far.”

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the historical drama revolves around the aftermath of the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre, that occurred on April 13, 1919.
After watching the film, which released on April 18, South star Rana Daggubati wrote, “Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama — Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you. This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages.”

Akshay has played the role of barrister C Shankaran Nair, who is on a mission to uncover the truth behind the massacre that claimed many innocent lives.
Ananya has portrayed the character of young lawyer Dilreet Kaur, while Madhavan has essayed the role of Nevile McKinley, the opposing counsel.
