Hyundai revealed the all-new version of its extremely popular mid-size SUV – Creta – at the Auto Expo 2020. The second-generation SUV will get redone exteriors and interiors, along with new BS6 compliant engines. The company has now revealed that it will be launched on March 17.
The new Creta gets a split-headlamp setup with LED light clusters and DRLs. This setup is followed at the rear as well. It gets faux skid plates under the front and rear bumpers. The alloys are dual-tone.
The interiors were not revealed during the Expo but it is believed that the Creta will have similar interiors as the iX25 in China. The iX25 has a portrait form Tesla-like touchscreen with features like BlueLink connected-car tech, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, automatic climate control and ventilated seats.
The powertrains will most likely be same as Kia Seltos’ engines. It could use a 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. For diesel, a 115hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine from the Seltos seems to be the likely choice.
