Bhubaneswar: Flight connectivity between Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport in Jharsuguda to Varanasi will commence from January 31.
Alliance Air, Air India’s subsidiary, will run the fight from Jharsuguda to Varanasi via Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Bhubaneswar. It has already opened bookings for the flights:
AI 9747 Jharsuguda (10.45 am) – Bhubaneswar (11.50 am)
AI 9747 Bhubaneswar (12.15 pm) – Varanasi (14.05 pm)
AI 9748 Varanasi (14.30 pm) – Bhubaneswar (16.20 pm)
AI 9748 Bhubaneswar (16.45 pm) – Jharsuguda (17.50 pm)
The Bhubaneswar-Varanasi fare on January 31 is Rs 3,471.
The carrier will also begin Jharsuguda-Kolkata direct flight from January 27.

On the other hand, IndiGo has already announced services to connect Bhubaneswar-Varanasi from February-end.
IndoGo will have two flights operating from here to Varanasi.
