Hariprasad highlighted the adoption of advanced technologies by AM/NS India to reduce its pollution footprint and Sinha outlined key initiatives undertaken at the power plant to minimise emissions.

Dash, reflected on the lessons from the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, and stressed the urgency of reducing pollution to protect human civilisation.

The event culminated with a plantation drive within the plant premises.

An awareness session was also conducted at Dabuna Beneficiation Plant with a focus on sustainability and workplace excellence. During the programme, employees and associates were recognised for their commendable efforts in reducing waste generation, conserving water and electricity, implementing measures to control air and water pollution, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping across work areas.

The session also emphasised the importance of adopting sustainable practices to ensure long-term environmental responsibility with active participation of employees and associates.

National Pollution Prevention Day commemorates the victims of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about pollution control, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging industries and individuals alike to adopt measures that protect the environment.
