AM/NS India Presents ALS Ambulance For Benefit Of Odisha & Jharkhand Villages
Bhubaneswar: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) India has presented an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance to Viswa Kalyan Seva Trust, an NGO working for community welfare in Odisha and Jharkhand.
AM/NS India’s gesture, under its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, is aimed to strengthen the rural healthcare system.
The ALS Ambulance, to be managed by Viswa Kalyan Seva Trust, will offer free-of-cost healthcare services in 50 villages of Odisha and Jharkhand.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff will be visiting the villages at regular intervals to ensure better patient care. This state-of-the-art life-saving ambulance is equipped with defibrillator, ventilators, suction machine, nebulizer, automatic BP apparatus, head immobiliser, cervical collar, oxygen cylinder, portable X-Ray, ECG, pathology setup, etc.
The ambulance was headed over to Viswa Kalyan Seva Trust founder Rup Kumar Swami by Sharanappa Kambalii, Chief of Mining (Operations), AM/NS India, and Dr Vikas Yadvendu, Head CSR AM/NS India at Barbil last week.
AM/NS India, in partnership with the Odisha government and other expert organisations, has been running various healthcare interventions including mobile health vans, health centres, health camps, strengthening of government managed health centres and health awareness sessions in Odisha’s Barbil, Dabuna, Sagasahi, Chitrakonda and Paradeep regions.
