Ambani Scion Anant Donates Rs 2.51 Cr After Darshan At Puri Jagannath Temple

Puri: Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, visited Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri to seek blessing of the sibling deities ahead of his wedding with Radhika Merchant

After arriving in Bhubaneswar, Anant left for Srimandir at 9.30 pm with the Z Plus security and reached the temple at 10.30 pm. Security arrangements were tightened for his visit to the temple. He spent around 2 hours in the shrine and witnessed ‘paudha alati’ of the Lords late in the night. He also partook ‘Mahaprasad’.

“I feel immensely blessed as I could get the darshan of the Lords,” he said.

The Ambani scion also donated Rs 2.51 crore for development and repair work of the 12th-century shrine, Administrator (Rituals) Jitendra Sahu informed.

During his last visit to the temple in January 2023, Anant had promised to silver clad outer gates of Srimandir, and also fulfilled it.

A temple sevayat, Raghunath Gochayat, said that Anant is visiting all important shrines across the country before his wedding with Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, on July 12 in Mumbai. He also assured to get the silver work on the remaining three gates done.

He had visited Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on Monday before travelling to Bhubaneswar and Puri.
