Amit Shah’s Odisha Visit To Kickstart BJP’s Election Campaign; Check Schedule
Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled visit to Odisha, the state BJP on Monday gave detailed information about the senior leader’s tour on April 25.
State BJP president Manmohan Samal told reporters in Bhubaneswar that Amit Shah is scheduled to reach Sonepur at 3.30 pm on April 25. Shah will first land at Jharsuguda and then proceed to Sonepur, where he is slated to address a public meeting, he said.
Preparations are going on in full swing for the public meeting to be addressed by Shah in Sonepur to sound the poll bugle of BJP in Odisha, where Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are going to be held simultaneously.
After addressing the public meeting, Amit Shah will proceed to Bhubaneswar where he is slated to hold an important meeting with senior BJP functionaries to discuss poll strategy, Samal said.
Stating that the Home Minister is slated to spend the night in Bhubaneswar, the senior BJP leader said that Shah will meet senior party leaders and interact with different sections of the organisation as part of the pre-poll exercise.
Describing Shah’s forthcoming visit as highly significant, Samal said it will definitely have a very positive impact on the 4.5 crore people of the state ahead of the twin elections.
Stating that a series of meetings will follow Shah’s Odisha visit, he said top BJP leaders, including
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake several visits to the state. Apart from Shah, BJP president J P Nadda also tour the state to bolster the party’s poll prospects.
Claiming that people are eagerly waiting for the visit of Shah, he said ‘Modi wave’ is sweeping across the country and people of Odisha are also keen to bring a political change in the state by ousting BJP from power this time.
Shah’s visit to the state is expected to boost the morale of BJP workers and provide momentum to the party’s campaign against the BJD.
