As informed by Board secretary Ramashis Hazra, preparations for announcement of results is in the final stage. While evaluation of papers is complete since April 5, tabulation of the OMR sheets and the long answer sheets along with other ancillary works in a computer firm outside the state are in the final stage.

“To expedite the process of evaluation, the marks from the evaluation centres were sent to the BSE headquarters online. The board, after verification of the marks, sent them to the computer firm. The entire process of tabulation is being personally supervised by the controller of examinations Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty at this firm,” Hazra said.

The evaluation of the HSC answer sheets was held at 60 centres from March 24 to April 5 for which the board had engaged 16,030 teaching staff, including 761 chief examiners, 1,482 deputy chief examiners, 12,265 assistant examiners and 1,522 scrutinisers.

The annual HSC examination began on February 22 and concluded on March 8 amid controversies. A total of 5,87,720 students had appeared in the examination at 2,953 centres.
