Jaipur: Though India and Pakistan agreed on a ceasefire from 5 pm on Saturday, there were multiple violations by the rivals within three hours. As they had been doing over the previous three nights, India’s air defence system successfully repelled all drone attack attempts which lasted till around 10 pm.
Even as India remained on vigil, not ruling out another possible breach of agreement, there was a possible incident in Rajasthan’s Barmer.
Authorities in the western border city issued a warning about “incoming drone activity” and advised residents to stay indoors. Barmer, which had been targeted earlier this week also, remained under a full blackout, amid concerns of an attack from Pakistan similar to Saturday’s ceasefire breach.
“Incoming drones activity spotted.. Pls stay inside your houses and observe blackout. DM Barmer,” read a post on X.

There were precautionary blackouts in cities like Pathankot and Udhampur, while Jammu was normal after four nights.
India earlier put Pakistan on notice, having sent a hotline message saying any violation of the ceasefire, whether tonight or at a later date, would be responded to “fiercely”.
