Another Contact Of Odisha’s First COVID-19 Deceased Tests Positive; Here’s His Travel History

Bhubaneswar: The 51-year-old man, who tested positive for COVID-19, on Tuesday was a contact of the 72-year-old man, who died of the disease at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on April 6.

The Health and Family Welfare Department has revealed the travel history of this resident of Niladrinagar in Jharpada. His samples were collected on April 14 as a contact case. He was shifted to KIMS COVID Hospital after testing positive for the virus.

Four other contacts of the COVID-19 deceased had earlier tested positive for the infection.

A 37-year-old woman and two girls aged 9 and 5, who are closed relatives of the 72-year-old man and had visited him at the hospital, had tested positive for the virus on April 9.

On April 11, swab samples of a 46-year-old man, another relative of the deceased, were found infected.
