Vishakhapatnam: Shocked by the sudden demise of her favourite celebrity Sushant Singh Rajput, a grief-stricken female fan of the actor hanged herself to death at her residence in Vizag.
According to reports, the 21-year old fan had gone into a depression on learning about Sushant’s tragic death. Unable to cope with the shocking news, she hanged herself to death on June 16.
However, the reason behind her step came to light only on Friday after police investigation.
“Her family members said she bolted her room from inside. When she did not open it despite repeated knocking, they broke it open only to find her hanging from the ceiling,” said a police officer.
The parents of the deceased told police that after learning about Sushant’s death, she had been watching the videos of the actor’s death and had slipped into depression. She had even stopped talking to her family members.
The deceased, a resident of Sriharipuram, was working as a teacher at a private school in the coastal city of Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, a student of Class X in Uttar Pradesh and a 13-year old girl in Odisha died by suicide after learning about Sushant’s death.
