Another Low Pressure Over Bay Of Bengal By October 29: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department on Sunday tweeted about a fresh low pressure, which is likely to form over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea around October 29.

This will the twelfth instance of a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal since the beginning of August. The last depression crossed the Odisha coast on October 23, bringing one or two spells of heavy rainfall in coastal and north-east districts of Odisha. 

Meanwhile, the Met office here on Saturday forecast light to moderate rain in some districts of coastal Odisha for the next two-three days. Weather will be mostly dry in western Odisha for the next four-five days, Bhubaneswar Met Centre Director H.R. Biswas said.

RAIN FORECAST

October 25

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places in coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail in the rest of the state.

October 26

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places in the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail in the rest districts of Odisha.
