Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer of Odisha cadre Parul Gupta has been repatriated to the home cadre.
The 2010-batch officer was serving as Deputy Director, Intelligence Bureau. She was among ten senior officers inducted into the ‘hard core’ of the elite group in March 2023.
“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for repatriation of Ms. Parul Gupta, IPS (OD:2010), Deputy Director, Intelligence Bureau, to her cadre with immediate effect,” the August 8 official notification said.
This comes close on the heels of the premature repatriation of Y B Khurania, who was posted as Special DG of Border Security Force, to the state cadre last week, leading to speculation about his appointment as the next DGP of Odisha.
