Mumbai: Even as Ektaa Kapoor’s ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ Reboot is ruling the TRP charts, actor-politician Smriti Irani, who plays Tulsi Virani in the serial, has left viewers disappointed for apparently using a body double in some of the scenes.
Some viewers shared that Smriti’s expressions looked fake and quite unrelated in the serial, while others criticised her for trying to copy Rupali Ganguly of ‘Anupamaa.’
“Glad that everyone is noticing this! For what is she charging 14L for? For shooting separately for like half an episode? It looks like people are talking to the wall, and then she is shown separately despite being in front!” wrote an X user.

One netizen pointed out, “I don’t like Mihir & Tulsi dynamics. I also get ZERO chemistry between them. It’s like watching 2 individuals in a marriage but separate. It’s early, but don’t think this will overtake Anupamaa.”

Some reports have suggested that Smriti is usually not present on the sets when scenes with the entire family is being shot.
She either uses a body double or shoots her scenes separately.
‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ received 1.6 billion viewing hours and a TRP of 2.8 in its first week.
