Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sealed an under-construction apartment in Shree Vihar area of the capital city on Saturday and asked 21 labourers, hailing from Murshidabad district of West Bengal, to remain in home quarantine.
Though they had travelled from the neighbouring state, the concerned builder engaged them in construction work instead of advising them to remain in institutional quarantine. The labourers obviously frequented nearby areas including markets and shops.
On receiving information, a BMC surveillance team visited the site on Saturday and asked the labourers to stop work and remain in home quarantine.
