Mumbai: Arbaaz Khan opened up for the first time about safety concerns over his brother Salman Khan post the murder of politician and family friend Baba Siddique.
Arbaaz, who is currently promoting his film ‘Bandaa Singh Chaudhary’, shared that his family is not doing good at present as they are worried about Salman, who is on the hit list of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
“I wouldn’t say that we are doing absolutely alright because there is a lot happening right now, in the family. Of course, everyone is worried. But I am committed to promoting Bandaa Singh Chaudhary. It’s my film releasing on October 25 and I’ve to make sure that the film also goes out. Yes, there’s a lot happening but I’ve to do what I’ve to do,” Arbaaz said in an interview with Zoom.
“I wouldn’t say we are all okay right now but we are trying to do what we can do the best. We are ensuring that everybody, along with the government and the police, is making sure that things go the way they should, and, he’s (Salman) protected. Everyone is doing their best. We want to stay this way right now,” Arbaaz said.
Siddique’s murder on October 12 shook the entire nation, including the Bollywood industry.
Salman shared a great bond with the politician and the two were often seen having a great time at Iftar parties hosted by Siddique.
On learning about Siddique’s demise, Salman rushed to the Lilavati Hospital to see his friend one last time.
The Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Siddique’s murder and threatened those helping Salman will meet the same fate.
Salman has been on the gang’s hit list after the actor hunted a black buck, considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, while shooting for ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ in Rajasthan.
