Mumbai: Ranveer Singh-starrer spy-thriller ‘Dhurandhar’, which was released on December 5, has impressed moviegoers and industry bigwigs highly-impressed. Such has been its impact, actor Hrithik Roshan reviewed the film twice, saying it did leave a strong impression on him, but he is not happy with the politics.
A day after sharing a detailed review of the film and its geopolitical stance with which he disagrees, Hrithik took to his social media handle once again on Thursday to laud ‘Dhurandhar’.
“I love cinema, I love people who climb into a vortex and let the story take control, spin them, shake them until what they want to say is purged out of them onto that screen. ‘Dhurandhar’ is an example of that. Loved the storytelling. It’s cinema,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
“I may disagree with the politics of it, and argue about the responsibilities us filmmakers should bear as citizens of the world. Nevertheless, can’t ignore how I loved and learnt from this one as a student of cinema. Amazing.”

A day later, Hrithik wrote, “Still can’t get Dhurandhar out of my mind. @adityadharfilms you are an incredible maker man.”
Lauding the star cast and their performances, Hrithik added, “@ranveersingh the silent to the fierce — what a journey and so damn consistent. #AkshayeKhanna has always been my fav and this film is proof why. @actormaddy bloody mad grace, strength and dignity!! But man @rakeshbedi what you did was phenomenal.. what an ACT, brilliant!!”
Hrithik said he was already looking forward to the sequel. “A huge big round of applause for everyone especially the makeup and prosthetics dept! I can’t wait for part 2!!!”

Meanwhile, sharing his review of ‘Dhurandhar’, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday and wrote, “OUTSTANDING!!! So much respect for Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, Sashwat Sachdeva (my favourite @ranveersingh performance).”

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was also impressed, and predicted a ‘paradigm shift’ in the industry.
“Post Dhurandhar’s super success, there will be a big paradigm shift in the Mumbai film industry, driven by strong content, diverse casting, and production houses backing scripts that resonate with audiences on a large scale. This one film is set to redefine the dynamics of Hindi cinema & shift how stories, talent, and conviction come together,” Bhandarkar posted on X.

It is a prime example of EVERY damn department performing at their peak! How? How? Because the director @AdityaDharFilms propelled all of them with his conviction and passion.”
