Asbestos Roof Of House Blown Away In Cracker Explosion In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A man was injured and the asbestos roof of a house blown away in a cracker explosion in Odisha capital on Monday evening.

As per reports, the explosion took place in CL Colony of VSS Nagar in Bhubaneswar. One Siban Tadi, staying in his asbestos house in the colony, was preparing firecrackers. Suddenly, one of the crackers exploded and it led to explosion of other crackers inside his house.

The impact of the explosion was so strong that the asbestos roof of the house was blown away. Household materials were damaged and flown out of the small house.

On hearing the blast, Tadi’s neighbours and local rushed to the spot and informed the police. A police team rescued critically injured Tadi from inside the house and rushed him to a private hospital.

The police have sealed the house and launched an investigation into illegal production of firecrackers by Tadi.
