Puri: Ahead of Rath Yatra in Puri scheduled on June 23, a technical team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Sunday visited Jagannath Temple and inspected the Snana Mandap (bathing altar).
Snana Jatra of the sibling deities is slated for June 5.
Talking to mediapersons, ASI Superintendent Arun Mallick said that the team will inspect the condition of the newly-laid stones at the Snana Mandap.
Stating that the team would also inspect Nata Mandap and Jagmohan, Mallick said the condition of the latter was good.
He said that the ASI usually conducts routine check-up of the temple structures during the Rath Yatra.
It may be mentioned here that the ASI inspects the Jagannath Temple during the 10-day sojourn of the deities to the Gundicha Temple.
