Dubai: Suryakumar Yadav’s electrifying knock and Virat Kohli’s welcome half-century powered India to an imposing total of 192/2 in their Asia Cup encounter against minnows Hong Kong here on Wednesday evening.
Suryakumar smashed four sixes in the final over of the innings to remain unbeaten on 68 off a mere 26 balls. He hit 6 sixes and 6 fours in his knock which dominated an unbroken 98-run partnership for the third wicket with Kohli.
The former captain, who had top-scored for India in the win over Pakistan on Sunday, scored an international fifty after many moons and did well to stay unconquered on 59 off 44 balls with a boundary and 3 sixes.
