New Delhi: Following ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the wee hours of May 7, several Pakistani celebs including Mahira Khan took to social media to condemn India’s actions.
Reposting a tweet by writer Fatima Bhutto criticising the strikes by Indian armed forces, Mahira shared on her Instagram handle, “Seriously cowardly!!! May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen.”
Following Mahira’s criticism for ‘Operation Sindoor’, the AICWA called out the Pakistani actress and reaffirmed the ban on artists from across the border.
Now, ‘Bigg Boss 18’ contestant Avinash Mishra has called out the actress and asked her not to come to India begging for work even after the situation improves.
Avinash also slammed Indian celebrities for not taking a stand against Mahira.
Sharing Mahira’s post on his Instagram story, Avinash wrote, “O Mahira Didi, we don’t need to blame Pakistanis, the whole world has seen the evidence. Now, after the situation improves, don’t come to India to ask for work. But you will have to give in to support your country. Here, some celebs have become traitors in terms of their reach and followers count. But don’t worry, their turn will come later.”
Lashing out at Indian celebs, he added, “Celebrities from across the border who earned fame from the Indian audience are now calling India’s action against terrorism shameful and cowardly. This is the height of hypocrisy. Where are our celebrities right now? If you can’t speak for your country to save your brand or followers count, then don’t pretend. Silence is not neutral, it is cowardice.”
Mahira not only condemned ‘Operation Sindoor’, she also stated that she is very fortunate to be a Pakistani.
She further said that Pakistan is blamed for the Pahalgam terror attack without any evidence.
Besides Avinash, ‘Anupamaa’ actress Rupali Ganguly too called out Pakistani artists, including Fawad Khan for condemning ‘Operation Sindoor.’
