Tremor was also felt in Bihar, Siliguri and other neighbouring areas in India.

As per media reports, people in and around Kathmandu Valley experienced the tremors. However, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre.

A resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Rambabu Chaudhary, shared his experience with ANI and said, “I was asleep when I felt the bed shaking, and the fan was shaking, too. We were scared and immediately rushed out of the house.”

Another local also felt tremors from Bihar’s Samastipur district. Suhani Yadav said, “We were asleep when we suddenly felt the tremors. We were scared and rushed out of the house.”

Meanwhile, people in West Bengal’s Siliguri also felt the tremors. A resident of Siliguri was quoted by the media as saying, “I was asleep, my wife woke me up. We felt tremors. We woke up our children. All of us were scared…We saw that everyone in the colony had woken up…There was no damage last night, I will check it again now.”
