Balangir: In a bid to take the administration to the doorsteps of rural people, the Balangir Sadar block has decided to hold ‘Gaon Ku Chalo Abhiyan’ at Bargaon village on January 27.
Chairman of Balangir block Golap Bag said normally, the villagers run to block office to avail the benefits of different welfare schemes of the government. The block and other officials also visit gram panchayat headquarters for various purposes and know the problems faced by the villagers in remote areas, he added.
“In order to get a direct feedback and solve the problems on the spot, we have decided to hold the meeting of “Gaon Ku Chalo Abhiyan” in a less prominent village,” said Bag.
Appealing to the villagers to cooperate in its endeavour, he said all the block-level officials will be present during the programme to solve their problems.
