Banners Against Govt Employees Found On Motorboats In Malkangiri
Malkangiri: Banners were found on motorboats in Malkangiri district on Friday.
Highlighting the problems faced by the people in the cut-off areas of Malkangiri district, the Biplabi Adivasi Sangha, a pro-Maoist group, had put up the banners. While children of government employees study abroad, those of Adivasi people live without proper light and food. At the age of going to school, they are forced to stay at home, the banners said.
The Sangha also complained about rising level of water in Balimela dam and said that it had also destroyed crops in the cut-off areas.
Similar banners, citing problems of the area, were earlier out up on motorboats in the district on August 26.
