Baramunda ISBT Will Be A New Landmark: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: The new Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT) in the Capital city will be ready by mid 2022, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after reviewing the project at Baramunda here on Thursday.

Estimated to cost around Rs 180 crore, the project is expected to be completed in 18 months.

“Targeted to be completed within 18 months. I am sure it will be a new landmark in Bhubaneswar,” the Chief Minister told media after reviewing the project.

The terminal will come up in an area of 1,31,713 sq.ft with 1,70,912 sq.ft of commercial space. It will have 35 bus bays with idle parking space for 190 buses.

The terminal will also have a public parking space for more than 250 four-wheelers and around 175 two-wheelers.

Among others, Minister Ashok Panda, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi and BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary were also present.
