Baripada: The City Mission Manager (CMM) of Baripada municipality in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district has been arrested for allegedly demanding bribe from a Mission Shakti group that manages Aahar Kendra.
Following allegation of bribery against the official, a discreet probe was conducted against the CMM. It was alleged that he was demanding bribe from the Mission Shakti group for giving it work order, official sources said.

On the basis of the discreet enquiry, an FIR has been lodged at Baripada police station and the consultant has been arrested and remanded to custody, the sources added.
