Berhampur Man Makes Jagannath Idol Of 2 MM Height

Berhampur: While Lord Jagannath was going through ‘Banaka Lagi’ rituals on the fourth day of His stay in Gundicha Temple at Puri on Friday, Satya Maharana of Berhampur made a Jagannath idol of 2 mm height.

Satya, who has set 25 international and national records for creating smallest artifacts, claimed that it was the smallest Jagannath idol he has made so far. It was made of ‘Gambhari’ wood. Now Satya eyes another world record.

Satya was in the news recently for making a chariot of Lord Jagannath in teak wood of 1 mm in height and 1 mm in width which was recognized by the ‘Exclusive World Records’ (EWR) as the world’s smallest chariot.
