Best Moments Of India’s Win Against SA At Hockey World Cup

Bhubaneswar: Hockey India shared on Twitter, some of the best moments of today’s match where India won its opener against South Africa with an outstanding 5-0, at Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 at Kalinga Stadium here on Wednesday.

International Hockey Federation also tweeted to congratulate the Indian team for its win.

Simranjeet scored a brace with his goal in the 46th minute and received the Man of the Match award from Hockey Legend Ajitpal Singh.

Skipper Mandeep, Akashdeep and Lalit Upadhyay also hit a goal each. India ruled the entire match giving barely any chance to SA.

Chinglen Kangujam was presented a memento for his 200th national cap for India.

 

Former hockey captain Dhanraj Pillay was also in the crowed cheering team India.

Earlier in the day, Belgium won the match against Canada with the scorecard reading 2-1. India will now face Belgium on December 2, as both the teams have three points each in Pool C.

During the match, Hockey India also tweeted an adorable video of Raja Namdharu, from One Team One Dream who hailed the Bhubaneswar crowd.
