Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday promoted Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo to the rank of DIG. He has been posted as Addl Commissioner of Police, Commissionerate of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
The 2006-batch IPS officer will continue to be in additional charge of DCP, Bhubaneswar, till further orders, a notification from the CMO said.
It further said that ADGP, CID-CB, S K Upadhaya, has been promoted to the DG rank. The 1988-batch IPS officer has been posted as DG (Prisons) and Director Correctional Services.
IG of Police (Personnel) S K Priyadarshi has been promoted to the rank of Additional DG and posted as Additional DG (Law and Order). The 1995-batch IPS officer will also hold additional charge of ADGP, CID-CB, till further orders.
ADGP (Law and Order) R P Koche will now hold the charge of ADGP (SAP).
His predecessor Y Koyal has been posted as IGP (Provisioning), State Police Headquarters, it added.
