Bhubaneswar Garage Owner Builds ‘COVID-19’ Bike Without Engine

Bhubaneswar: Ramesh Chandra Bastia, a garage owner at Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar, has created a bike without an engine.

Bastia has named the innovative bike COVID-19, which has a hand sanitizer instead of a petrol tank and the rider has to pedal to move around. In further keeping with the coronavirus theme, he has replaced the number plates with quotations against the infection.

He made the bike by using parts from old vehicles during the lockdown. “Using this pedal-powered vehicle, the rider can enjoy the benefit of a workout without going to a gym to stay fit,” said Bastia, who has been running a car garage in the city for the past 20 years.
