Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for rain and lightning in 16 districts of Odisha by 11 pm on Tuesday. Warning has also been issued for state capital Bhubaneswar.
Issuing yellow warning, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely to affect some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Puri, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts during next three hours.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike
