Bhubaneswar: The AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has become the second most-preferred institute among students, who have qualified the NEET exam, after AIIMS, New Delhi.
The cut-off rank in the general category after first counselling for AIIMS New Delhi was 51, followed by 569 for AIIMS Bhubaneswar, 591 for AIIMS Bhopal, 786 for AIIMS Jodhpur, 1300 for AIIMS Rishikesh, 1588 for AIIMS Raipur, 1850 for AIIMS Patna, 5366 for AIIMS Guwahati and 6078 for AIIMS Jammu.
“The students while choosing any AIIMS for admission in MBBS course consider various issues. Academic environment including hospital services used to be a major attraction. AIIMS Bhubaneswar director Gitanjali Batmanabane has complimented all faculty members and students for establishing an excellent academic environment over the years which is now getting recognised by the students,” read an official letter issued by the institution.
AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Director said that MBBS students, who have passed out of the institute, have enrolled for further studies at AIIMS New Delhi, PGIMER and JIPMER through all India entrance examination. “Two of our students have topped the 2018 and 2019 years PG entrance examinations of AIIMS New Delhi besides many other securing high ranks,” she added.
The first round of results for MBBS/BDS under 15% of the All India quota including all nineteen AIIMS was completed on November 9 and students are reporting to the respective Institutes for further admission process till November 16.
