Bhubaneswar: Rain accompanied by thunderstorm lashed several parts of Khordha, Kataka and several other districts of Odisha on Monday evening.
Capital city Bhubaneswar and neighbouring Kataka city also experienced heavy rain and thunderstorm.

In a nowcast warning at 4.30 pm, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for these districts, including Bhubaneswar and Kataka cities, for three hours. Moderate rain and light thunderstorm may affect occur in these districts during the period.
In another message, the IMD also issued a yellow warning for Sonpur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Deogad, Nayagad, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Boudhagad in the evening.
