Bhubaneswar Registers Slight Jump In COVID-19 Cases; 4 Deaths

Bhubaneswar: The capital city logged 389 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours against 353 cases on Thursday. The city had reported 182 positive cases on Wednesday, 233 on Tuesday and 286 on Monday.

Of the new cases registered in the last 24 hours, 99 were from quarantine and 290 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Of the local contact cases, maximum 21 were reported from Nayapalli, followed by 19 from Chandrasekharpur, 15 from Saheed Nagar, 13 each from Sundarpada and Khandagiri and 12 from Old Town.

As many as 232 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased went up to 797 with four more deaths logged during the period. The city now has 2311 active cases.
