Bhubaneswar: A day a record 90 COVID-19 cases, Bhubaneswar saw another 60 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, which took the affected tally to 919 on Thursday.
Among these, 40 are quarantine and 20 local contact cases. While 30 contracted the virus from other infected people, nine had travelled outside the state and five to hotspot districts within Odisha.
“Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and these will be under active surveillance,” the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation tweeted.
Meanwhile, another 18 patients of Bhubaneswar have been cured of the infection.
With 11 deaths and 403 recoveries, the city now has 504 active cases.
